Anthony Melchiorri is on a mission as the sixth season of HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE premieres tonight on Travel Channel. Isn’t he always?
Yeah, but now it’s being acknowledged as a stated purpose as he goes about helping struggling hotel owners keep their businesses open.
It’s “Doctor” Melchiorri who attends to the strained and sometimes broken personal relationships behind hotels in distress. Here’s how Travel Channel explains it.
“Season Six of “Hotel Impossible” puts a special focus on the owner’s transformation; hospitality is not just about the place, it’s about the people.”
For Anthony to concentrate on the things that light up his face with a smile, he’s got a new roster of designers working feverishly to meet his sometimes ridiculously short deadlines for a makeover. Stacey Cohen, Danielle Colding, Anitra Mecadon and Anne Rue join the team. Wonder how they’ll take to him bugging them, asking repeatedly if they will complete the job in time for the grand re-opening?
Tonight, Tuesday September 1 at 9 p.m., Anthony’s cruising down the iconic Route 66 through Arizona. For those not old enough to remember the TV show “Route 66”, it followed the travels of two men who drove along the highway in a Chevrolet Corvette convertible, experiencing something new each week in the places they landed.
Melchiorri makes three stops along his way tonight. He helps out a struggling “luxury” inn, a former bordello on the National Registry of Historic Places and his first-ever camping and trailer park.
Anthony in a trailer park? Sure, why not. The guy is up for anything and his messages ring true no matter the venue. Get smart, stop trying to be something you’re not and pay attention to the details.
