‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Season Premiere: Enabling Or Family Love? (VIDEO)

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” debuted its season 12 and the leading question throughout was who was being enabled instead of being helped, and yes there is a difference.  It’s been a problem that has carried over from the previous season or two because the men in the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, or the one that transitioned are embroiled in controversy.

The older sisters took on their Momager, Kris Jenner for pampering her son Rob, but when Khloe decided to furnish a place for Lamar Odom, Kris was in heaven and Khloe didn’t complain. Check that out in the video clip posted below. It was a chaotic season premiere but touched on all significant hot topics.

We all know the story of how Khloe Kardashian rushed to the bedside of her estranged husband Lamar after he was found comatose in a Nevada brothel. It was touch and go for Odom, and Khloe never wavered. She had been on the verge of being divorced, but never gave that a second thought.

There was an uproar from Odom’s baby mama and his father about Khloe refusing access or no easy access to Lamar, but ultimately, she was paying the bills and calling the shots, because she was his wife with the power to make medical choices.

While Khloe’s family had some reservations, they fully supported her while she stayed with him. That is different from previous seasons when Kim nagged her sister, accusing her of enabling Lamar’s substance abuse, when Khloe kept answering his calls instead of filing for divorce.

Then there’s Rob Kardashian, a young man who has been troubled for what seems like years. His first spark of life occurred when he began a relationship with Blac Chyna, former love of hip-hop artist Tyga, now the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner.

Rob was still living at Khloe’s and she was surprised to find the couple there when she returned home one day. Chyna got him out and about, something he hadn’t done in a long time. In the season premiere, a discussion at the dinner table turned into a fight when Kris said she’d front the money for Rob to get into his own home.

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe all went nuts, calling Kris an enabler who is contributing to his lack of ambition to make his own money. That’s when Kris Jenner spoke words that probably made you gasp. She talked about all the things she’s swept under the rug for the girls, and called out Kim on her short marriage to Kris Humphries. Oh yes, she went there.

Scott Disick’s lonely single life was highlighted and beaten to death in the premiere, with him admitting he made a mistake taking a large home when he was alone. It’s closer to Kourtney and the kids, but he’s rattling around in there getting sadder by the minute.

Khloe is always there to support him, and even Kris decided to go out to lunch and shop with him, praising him for getting serious about his responsibilities as a dad. There was no Khloe or Kris bashing about all the time they spend talking and being with Scott and of course, as you might expect, at episode’s end, he went missing. Enabling?

Finally, there’s the case of Caitlyn Jenner who threw a fit while conversing with Kris. She was steaming about comments made by Khloe on the Howard Stern Show that indicated she had very little, if anything to do with her stepfather.

Caitlyn went off, yelling at Kris, “What happened to family sticking together?”. She got scolded by Kris who got to say, “Now you know how it feels”, to her ex-husband who had said unkind things about Kris in the big coming out article in Vanity Fair.

What did you think of the premiere?
