Shark Week 2016, Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off.

SHARK WEEK Tonight: ‘Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off’; Video Preview! Plus, Do You Know Which Shark Is Deadliest?

The Shark N’ Awe continues to amaze on Discovery Channel tonight, as Shark Week 2016 swims forward. Tonight, “Deadliest Shark” looks at the shark with the reputation of being the world’s deadliest–do you know which shark that is? And, two masters of the sea face off in “Sharks vs. Dolphins.”

What can SHARK WEEK viewers look forward to during primetime tonight, after a full day of fan-favorite encores? Take a look:

DEADLIEST SHARK:  Wednesday, June 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

Using cutting-edge research and thrilling historical evidence, Dr. Michael Domeier and Dr. Barry Bruce go looking for rare oceanic white tip sharks, to see if the species deserve the reputation as the “World’s Deadliest Shark.” History says they are – and when the scientists dive in the Bahamas and off Hawaii, they’re spooked by this very dangerous shark.

SHARKS VS. DOLPHINS: FACE OFF:  Wednesday, June 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

Sharks and dolphins have shared the ocean for ages, but only recently, scientists have begun to understand the true nature of the relationship between these two masters of the sea. It’s hostile, and dangerous, mainly for dolphins. Dolphins would rather eat fish and swim with humans; sharks would rather eat dolphins and anything they can sink their teeth into. Dr. Mike Heithaus and his team bring new research that may solve why sharks attack dolphins far more than we ever knew.

And, of course, fans don’t want to miss tonight’s “Shark After Dark,” hosted by award-winning film director, producer, writer and actor Eli Roth (“Inglourious Basterds, “The Green Inferno,” and “Knock Knock”, amongst other projects). Roth returns as host of SHARK WEEK’s hit late-night talk show for a second year in a row. Tonight, Dr. Michael Domeier and Dr. Barry Bruce go looking for rare oceanic whitetip sharks. “Shark After Dark” airs on Discovery Channel tonight, Wednesday, June 29, at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Stay tuned.

  1. On the “Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off ep. they are saying that all the attacks on the dolphins were made by sharks. The Discovery Channel has left out the fact that dolphins like all animals fight among themselves during courting and mating and for dominance can produce the same kind of wounds. So just because they have old wounds doesn’t prove that they were all shark attacks. Food for thought.
