“Paranormal Lockdown” has demonstrated its ability to shock and surprise, but you ain’t seen nothing yet. On Friday night February 17, travel along with Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman to New Orleans as they set up shop at a Rampart St. apartment above a voodoo shop. It is there that Addie Hall died at the hands of her boyfriend, who chopped up her body, then flung himself off a rooftop.
Grisly enough for you? It is known as the Rampart Street Murder House, which was haunted for decades prior to the murder that rocked the post-Hurricane Katrina city and made national news. On the tenth anniversary of Hall’s murder at the hands of Zack Bowen, the intrepid team of paranormal investigators mingle with the spirits that remain at the site.
News reports of the crime provided lurid details of just what was left of Hall’s body. Bowen’s body was found in a parking lot near the Omni Hotel, but a multi-page suicide note found on his body led authorities to the Rampart St. apartment. There they found Addie Hall’s body parts, some of which had been cooking on a stove, while the rest of it was stuffed into a refrigerator.
Well before the heinous crime there were reports of paranormal activity that included unexplainable footsteps, moving shadows and the apparition of a little boy. The place was rented to people who inhabited the premises but they didn’t stay for long. In the preview video of the episode, watch camera operator Rob feel a strong breeze from a window that is sealed shut, and Nick grows nauseous as he stares into a bathroom mirror. As Katrina Weidman says, there were many spirits left in the building before the Addie Hall crime, which only attracts other spirits.
