Settle in for a Saturday night shared with Hallmark Channel, and its original film, “Campfire Kiss”. It all begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT and stars Danica McKellar and Paul Greene.
There are those who love camping, and those who don’t, with a passion. McKellar plays Dana, who is about to get a lesson in why living in the moment and communing with nature can be fun and liberating. Dana’s a high school math teacher who likes an orderly life, one that isn’t fraught with surprises including those that come from being in the woods.
Trying to regain a close bond with her teen son Arthur, she agrees to participate in a bit more than camping. It’s a family wilderness experience for spring break. There the mother and son meet another single parent and teen looking to grow closer. That would be Steve (Paul Greene) and his daughter Lacey. They’re tent mates so you know something is about to get going.
“Campfire Kiss” delivers on the promise of opening someone’s eyes to things outside a comfort zone. In the sneak peek video clip posted below, Dana has to rely on someone other than herself to make it through a week-long experience she thought she would regret. What she ends up regretting is having to leave without knowing if she’ll see Arthur again.
Leave that to the teens, who know their parents well enough to understand they just might need a little push in the right direction.
“Campfire Kiss” is a Camping Production. Brad Krevoy, Danica McKellar, Susie Belzberg, Shawn Williamson, Eric Jarboe, Amy Krell, Jimmy Townsend, Amanda Phillips Atkins and Jamie Goehring are executive producers. Michael Shepard, Doran S. Chandler and Nathaniel Lyman serve as supervising producers. Jonathan Shore and Vincent Balzano are associate producers. Kevin Leslie serves as producer. James Head directed from a teleplay by Rick Suvalle with story by Scott Sveslosky and Suvalle.
