“The Voice” shed half its artists in the season 12 semi-final results show. On to the finals are Jesse Larson, Chris Blue, Lauren Duski and Aliyah Moulden. If you were surprised, join the club. We are not saying that any one of the singers doesn’t belong there if judged on their own. But, in comparison to a couple who fell by the wayside, the answer is sorta’ yes.
Voted through by America prior to the Instant Save vote were Duski, Moulden and Blue. The bottom two vote-getters were taken off the stage before three singers sang for their supper. Surprisingly, T Soul and Vanessa Ferguson didn’t get another chance. We predicted both wouldn’t make it, but noted that Vanessa should have.
Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake (both Team Gwen) performed and Jesse Larson was the last to sing. Check out his Instant Save performance posted below. Typically the Instant Save votes don’t change much once once NBC puts up the chart in real time. Jesse Larson was killing it and became the last person to make the finals after it was all over.
Gwen Stefani took it hard, saying goodbye to the two singers who tried their best. Adam Levine exulted having lived through many Instant Save victories with former team member Mark Isaiah. Alicia Keys is still alive with Chris Blue and good old Blake Shelton put two of his singers in the top four. They guy excels at this game, but there is no way he wasn’t stunned that Aliyah got through, when compared to the others.
As he says when he tries to lure signers to his team, he’s done very well with young female singers. How right he is. Who has the inside track to win season 12 on “The Voice”?
