Jeremy Wade, on final season of "River Monsters" on Animal Planet

‘River Monsters’ EXCLUSIVE Preview of Volcanic Island Terror: Supersized (VIDEO)

“River Monsters” is all new Sunday night May 21 on Animal Planet. The series is winding up its final season, and TVRuckus has an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek of the next episode. Jeremy Wade is searching for a creature that has been leaving puncture wounds in people from a fishing village.

Yes, puncture wounds. The setting is a volcanic island in the Pacific Ring of Fire, an ancient fishing community. The populace is being terrorized by a water creature that has left a string of bloodied victims in its wake. The fishermen thought they knew the terrain and what they could expect to find in the water that surrounds the island.

Without more than puncture wounds to go on, it seems impossible to find the culprit. That’s where Jeremy Wade comes in. He arrives to engage in one of his most challenging investigations, in land a land of fire and folklore. We know that he will push himself to the limit to find the identity of the mysterious fanged assailant.

After eight years, extreme angler and biologist Jeremy Wade is hanging up his fishing rod. This is the final season which began in April. Its focus is on Wade’s life-long quest to find finned killers and discover which are predators, which are victims, and which are the stuff of myth and legend. Since 2008, Wade has reeled in some of the rarest, most elusive and most dangerous creatures lurking beneath the water’s surface.
