“90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?” moves further along examining five marriages after the 90 days allowed under the K-1 visa. The most angst on-camera this Sunday night July 9 on TLC belongs to Anfisa and Jorge. Gee, what a surprise, right?
In the extended sneak peek posted below, we return to that blood curdling scream of Anfisa’s. The episode is appropriately titled “We Got Bad Blood”. From there we watch as Jorge backs off from keeping the appointment with the lawyer about a post-nuptial agreement. Where’s he going? Home, of course, and as tends to happen with these two, the worst of their moments are not on camera.
He dutifully parks the car in his garage and walks out of sight, knowing he’s in for a horrible confrontation. The next thing we see is Jorge wheeling a piece of luggage behind him, getting ready to get in his car to go somewhere. Anfisa had the bag packed and ready for him, then sent him away.
The problem with all this, of course, is that Jorge believes he has to obey and do as he’s told. It’s been his pattern on “90 Day Fiance” and “Happily Ever After?” He doesn’t, but then again, we’ve seen Anfisa get physically abusive when he disobeys. The moment he attempted to stand up for himself with the post-nup, Anfisa put the hammer down.
In other stories on this week’s show, the twisted situation with Pedro and Chantal’s family continues, as the two reach a decision about a trip to see Pedro’s family. They aren’t much further along in undoing the damage caused by their lies. Pedro’s even gotten cocky and nasty with Chantal’s brother.
Loren and Alexei face something they never expected and there’s emotional fallout from the news. Danielle continues her attempts to mend fences with her families and this week she tries to regain the trust of her daughters. (RECAP of Mohamed and Danielle’s night, and it’s NOT pretty!) Finally, Russ and Paola reach a new roadblock in their attempt to jumpstart their marriage with him in Florida.
Just as infants cry themselves to sleep, or toddlers tire of their tantrums and grow quiet, so did Anfisa. The next day, Jorge showed up with a huge bouquet and lots of ways to say “I’m sorry”. He’d spent the night in a hotel, found a florist, and geared up for what he hoped with be a non-violent home visit.
He got what he hoped for, but not without criticism for failing to call or text enough. Anfisa expects to be able to drive him crazy, ignore his communication yet see that he keeps trying. The guy can’t win when it comes to apologies, but this one ended with him carrying his wife into the bedroom and shutting the door.
The next time we saw them they were back arguing, but in a volcanic way. It was the usual backbiting, but this time it was on the way to the all-important final interview for green card status. The couple emerged successful, but Jorge decided to pick at a scab. He truly fears Anfisa leaving now that she’s got permanent resident status.
Hope he’s watching the nonsense between Mohamed and Danielle to understand that Anfisa will jeopardize her status if she drops him like a hot potato. Of course, that would mean that Jorge would have to file for an annulment, rather than a divorce. Does he have the spine to do it? Nah….
