Preview New Episodes Of ‘Outdaughtered’: Adam Is Cracking, New Worries For Hazel, Quints Turn Two!

UPDATED: Recap of episode. Adam screws up Valentine’s Day, and knows it!

“Outdaughtered” returns tonight at 9 p.m. on TLC. The wildly popular series featuring the Busby clan (Adam, Danielle, eldest daughter Blayke and quints, Riley, Ava, Hazel, Parker and Olivia) opens as the babies turn two years-old. That means, as you’d expect, that potty-training is on the agenda, as well as further adventures in child rearing without a lot of help.

Speaking of help, last season Danielle’s mom Mimi lived with the family after putting her Louisiana home on the market. We last saw her quitting a job, and still without the money that a home sale would give her. Adam was about to go crazy if she didn’t find her own place, but her childcare services were vital to the family functioning. Read coverage of that finale, here.

On the quints health front, it was little Hazel who had the most serious problems. She went through a tough surgery to correct a muscle problem in her face that affected her ability to see straight ahead without turning her head. The anxiety it provoked for Danielle and Adam was overwhelming, but well worth it when Hazel seemed to recover.

In the sneak peek scenes of “Outdaughtered” new episodes, it appears Hazel’s condition has regressed. When we left the family, Adam and Danielle faced the fact that another surgery might be necessary. Coming up for Hazel is a change of doctors and new information for her parents to digest.

What’s new this season is Adam Busby’s inability to stay positive. He’s experiencing anxiety and depression, to the dismay of his wife, as well as himself. He’s always made a healthy living, but the burden of supporting a growing family of six children had already gotten to him.

The couple had to draw up a new budget and got startling news from a financial adviser. The millions necessary to get the kids to the age of 22, through college was staggering. They made an investment in a business along with friends of theirs, hoping it would be the nest egg-creator they needed. They had to use the cash they had to invest, and Adam was extremely hesitant to take the jump. Here’s hoping they did the right thing. No wonder Adam’s struggling.
