“The Bachelorette” features Rachel Lindsay and her hometown visits tonight on ABC. She’s past the tough decision to eliminate the final couple of men, to get to her final four. They are, in no particular order, Eric, Bryan, Peter and Dean.
In the video sneak clip posted below, we get just a smidge of info about how the visits will go. There are a lot of tears, both from Rachel and a couple of the men. Facing families comes with risks, for both the suitor and the star of “The Bachelorette”. That means that Rachel will find out the secrets the men hid, successfully for the first couple of months they spent together.
PETER There’s that scene of Peter’s mom telling Rachel she’s not sure that her son is ready to stand up and say “I do”. It is preceded by Peter saying, “I’m not sure when those walls will come down”. The walls are a recent development because Peter had always been all-in with the quest to win Rachel’s heart.
DEAN Then there’s the visit to Dean’s father, something we only learned last week could be gnarly. When Dean was about to get a rose, he wondered if he could go through with it. That was news to both Rachel and fans of the show. He explained the estrangement with his dad, but until you see how the man lives and the tension between father and son, you can’t truly grasp the enormity of Dean’s unresolved issues.
ERIC The most surprising story of “The Bachelorette” season thus far is Eric’s transformation. He got tangled up in his own insecurities and big mouth early on, but turned a corner after Rachel spent time with him on a date. He never looked back. In the video clip below, he says the three magic words!
BRYAN The man who swept Rachel off her feet from the beginning, the one who she only recently chose to trust, faces the lady’s mom this week. It’s clear that Rachel’s mother thinks Bryan isn’t completely sincere. How he deals with that and whether or not Rachel trusts her mother’s gut may be the determining factor. You have to feel bad for him if it’s only his good looks and charm that works against him. He can be all that, and sincere at the same time. Is he?
