Adam Busby on "Outdaughtered" TLC

‘Outdaughtered’ Preview: Poop Everywhere, How To Potty Train Five Kids At Once? (VIDEO)

“Outdaughtered” returns tonight on TLC, and it looks like America is thrilled. The network announced record ratings for last week’s episode, calling it the highest rated episode ever among all key women’s demos, with double-digit gains versus the prior season premiere.

In that episode, (recap here) we watched as Danielle and Adam Busby opened up on-camera about the marital strain that descended after almost two years of raising quints. There are financial concerns, exhaustion, nit-picking about who does what around the house and a disastrous Valentines’ Day. Yet, we all know the couple is committed to the relationship and making life wonderful for their family of eight.

In tonight’s new episode, airing at 9 on TLC, it’s all poop all the time. “A Little Potty Never Killed Nobody”, highlights the efforts to control the poop that explodes everywhere. If you are a fan of “Outdaughtered” you know that watching Danielle or Adam try to get the little ones to do anything is like herding cats, except without the claws.

The quints are about to turn two years-old on the show, so potty training time has arrived. Try that on for size as an extra added attraction in a normal family day caring for six kids (there’s older sister Blayke) and see how that works for you! It was interesting to hear Danielle talk of the last hour or so of each day, after the kids are fed. Getting them prepared for and in bed is a harrowing experience.

Also on tonight’s show is more about Hazel’s eye condition and consideration of a new surgical procedure. Adam’s approach to it, prior to the doctor’s appointment was to stress about it and get anxious about finding a solution. Danielle’s way of handling it is to take each day as it comes and wait to hear what the medical professionals say. Classic parental dilemma.
