“Misfit Garage” returns to DISCOVERY, Wednesday night August 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT . To say that fans of the guys at Fired Up Garage have waited for this is an understatement. At the end of last season, John Klump was made a partner in the business and the controversy commenced.
Klump vowed to up his game alongside Thomas Weeks, Tom Smith, Kevin Clark, and Josh Paris. Their mission, which they have chosen to accept, is to prove themselves as the #1 shop in the world for custom street rods, rivaling FAST N’ LOUD’s Richard Rawlings and his mega-successful Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas.
TVRuckus wrote about the prospect of Klump joining management after the previous season finale. We are as anxious as anyone to see this experiment succeed despite having said:
“His (John Klump) temper and condescending attitude are pervasive; his bad attitude cannot help but spread. Does he add something? Yes, he potentially could; he has talent, and his insistence on doing things right–waiting for the correct motor mounts instead of cutting and pasting some kind of homemade cardboard-inspired fix–is something the shop really does need. But, his attitude?”
Here’s what’s in store for the new season of “Misfit Garage”, straight from the network. “The crew circumvents Thomas and buys back a 1952 Willys Jeep, which they previously flipped and are now looking to build into the ultimate off-road machine. Klump is at the helm, making all the decisions on the build and causing tensions to rise among the crew. With no buyer and little experience selling off-road vehicles, the misfits will have to pull out all the stops to showcase the Jeep and make a profit.”
