Chef Gordon Ramsay and top 10 on "MasterChef" Season 8

‘Master Chef’ Season 8: EXCLUSIVE Look at How To Make The Top 10 (VIDEO)

“MasterChef” Season 8 moves into two-hour telecasts this week on FOX. On Wednesday night August 23 the top 10 are chosen then compete to limit the number of cooks even further. But, more importantly is the announcement of the eliminated candidate from the Las Vegas episode.

Yachecia and Newton stood in front of Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and Aaron Sanchez waiting for the word of who had cooked the last dish on the show. Not only would the person be eliminated, but left in Las Vegas. That was kind of harsh, don’t you think?

Look, it’s a TV show and it’s not like the vanquished competitor would have to hitchhike home, but just the thought that they wouldn’t be going back to the So Cal based studio where it’s all filmed only added to the dread and possibly the shame.

This week’s two shows of “MasterChef” include a skills test for the top 11 and its a creepy, crawly one. The cooks are given a bag of live crawfish and will have to carefully cook them in order to extract the most meat possible. This week’s EXCLUSIVE sneak peek is of the six weakest cooks going head-to-head in an elimination challenge, during which they will make a crawfish dish created by none other than Gordon Ramsay.

Then, the top 10 face a chicken-and-potato team challenge. Find out which contestants will be eliminated in the all-new, two-hour “In A Pinch/Gordon’s Game Of Chicken” episode.
