The Busby quints, with Daddy Adam Busby on "Outdaughtered" Season 2 on TLC

‘Outdaughtered’ Preview: Adam Busby Tried To Avoid Therapy, But It’s Time

“Outdaughtered” is all new tonight on TLC beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT and in the episode titled “Battle of the Busby Baby Photos”, a new phase begins for Adam Busby. The father of six daughters is ready to do something he dreaded.

Yes, it’s counseling for his lingering depression and the way he spoke of it, you might have thought it was life threatening. All that was needed during the previous episode, was scary music in the background. Adam and Danielle left the chidren with her two sisters and their husbands to see a pastor in Nashville.

The scenes from back home were some of the best we’ve ever seen on “Outdaughtered”. ¬†Watching Uncle Dale lose Hazel is that massive house, try to hide the fact, then get outted by the older kids was a great one for sure. Danielle’s sisters and brothers-in-law have renewed respect for how she and Adam not only manage, but make it look smooth.

Adam found the pastor online and in their communications he felt a connection to a man who suffered the same depression symptoms. Danielle tried to gently warn him not to put all his eggs in one basket by hoping he could avoid mental health treatment. She was supportive and loving throughout the trip, and even got some relief for herself.

The pastor’s wife described her own feelings about losing the man she knew to something she couldn’t cure or even understand. It was a moving and very serious moment when Danielle Busby realized Adam night never be the same man he was prior to the quints arrival. It was then, at that couples dinner in Nashville that Adam knew he had to bite the bullet to help Danielle as well as himself.

It followed a one-on-one between the pastor and Adam when his face about dropped to the floor. It was clear that he was crushed by learning that the pastor was the latest voice, on top of his own father and Danielle’s to say, get to a counselor and work this out. What the pastor added that was critical to the decision was tying it all back to Adam’s responsibility to his children and wife. They were all suffering.

“Outdaughtered” has made this an extremely personal and open season from the Busbys, and it continues tonight as Adam begins his recovery process. Also on tap is a lot of fun when the Busbys compete to see who can take the best photo to promote their new cycling facility.
