“MasterChef” has lost all home cooks except six strong, determined people who can stand the pressure. They can smell the finish line but they have to get there and that means more competition. It’s been a strange season without a clear winner identified.
Most of those left have good moments and bad ones, but there is one thing that binds them. They have managed to fail when others have been worse. That might not sound like a ringing endorsement of the final six, but it’s true.
It’s the nature of competitions like “MasterChef” that from time to time there will be an assignment that trips you up. Nothing to be ashamed of because there is not one show with Gordon Ramsay when someone doesn’t get taken to the proverbial woodshed.
In the EXCLUSIVE sneak peek of the next two shows (airing back-to-back) watch the contestants read hand written letters from home. Yes, hand written letters, not emails or texts; they just mean so much more. It’s a prelude to a challenge to create a dish that is inspired by their families in the episodes “Something Fishy” and “The Semi-Finals”
After that there’s an elimination test that sends one or more home. The remaining chefs perform a series of skill tests that determine who moves on to the finale. What hasn’t been thrown at them? Find out Wednesday September 13 beginning at 8 p.m et/pt.
