Tonight will be a great night for Investigation Discovery (ID) fans, no doubt, with new episodes of two fan-favorites: “Betrayed” and “Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda.”
“Betrayed” revisits heart-pounding cases of deception that ended in murder at the hands of a trusted family member, co-worker, lover, or friend. As investigators, family, and friends peel back the layers and facts of each case, the otherworldly narrator already knows where the breadcrumb trail ends. They guide viewers through the various relationships that comprise their life, raising suspicions about who will commit the ultimate betrayal and bring about their doom.
So, just remember: A town may seem like any other town, or a family just like any other family surrounding themselves with people they can trust. But, things are not always as they seem on “Betrayed.” Tonight, according to Investigation Discovery, on all-new “Betrayed” episode, “The Devil You Know,” at 9/8c:
Missy Grubaugh, a devout Christian, is working her way through college as a waitress while on her path to becoming a teacher. She’s a real head turner and has even found a boyfriend who seems to respect her commitment to remaining a virgin until marriage. But her boyfriend isn’t the only man interested in her good looks and innocent charms. She’s attracted the attention of a co-worker whose “accidental” late night drop-ins start happening more frequently. And at the restaurant where she works, she catches another waiter stealing. When she turns him in, he threatens her life and, not long after, Missy is found dead in her apartment.
Next on ID, an all-new episode of “Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda,” at 10/9c. A murder will change the life of a victim, their families, and the convicted killer… but what about the investigator? Lt. Joe Kenda, a veteran of Colorado’s homicide investigation unit with one of the highest case closure rates in the country, reveals chilling memories of murders that still haunt him.
According to ID, on tonight on “Sacrificial Lamb”:
HOMICIDE HUNTER: LT. JOE KENDA
When 13-year-old PJ Grant is found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head, Lt. Joe Kenda assumes it’s a suicide. But when the physical evidence doesn’t add up, it opens the door to a world of possibilities–from hatred to human sacrifice.
